Letterpress anyone?
Also debuting Sunday is our new letterpress line, designed for men. I've always loved this medium and am so excited to offer these heavy card stock flats in time for Father's Day (June 17). Even in this day of emailing and texting, you can't beat the personal touch of a hand-written note sent the "old fashioned" way.

Monthly promotion #1
We've decided to start offering monthly promotions! For September, it's 50% off oleander note cards; just enter code "SeptPROMO" at checkout. If you have one of our 2011 YEAR in BLOOM mini desktop calendars, you might notice that oleander is this month's feature—a flowering shrub I first discovered in France. Offer ends 9/30.

Making the world a kinder place
This week I was "introduced" via the Internet (how funny to think of it like that, but it kind of fits, no?) to such a wonderful idea that I had to share it here. It's a concept-turned-reality called "Random Notes of Kindness" created by Lauren Fister, a kitchen designer and fellow food lover in CT. The idea is you send a kind note, you receive a kind note, in kind. To learn more, please visit her website; she was even featured in her local newspaper. In support of her idea, I'm offering 15% off JAKE & META for the next 2 weeks, just enter code: KINDnotes at checkout.

Thank-you notes
Don't you love receiving letters in the mail? I recently sent my calendar to several family friends, and was thrilled to find my mailbox full of thank-you notes. This is the time of year I try to catch up with everyone I don't see often. I love getting to read how everyone is doing and what they've been up to the past year, especially in a note hand-written by a friend.
